On Wednesday March 29th 2023, Judge David Piper presented to help us discover answers to many pressing questions such as: which court should I go to argue on behalf of a child? Should I go to family court and file a motion or should I go to juvenile court and try to persuade Child Protection to file a Petition or should I file a private Chips Petition? Or how should I try to intervene if there is an ongoing CHIPS Petition? If there is abuse occurring should, and if there is no CHIPS proceeding, should I file an Order For Protection on behalf of the minor child.? These are just some of the myriad of issues that we discussed in an informal manner. The webinar allowed ample time for Q&A, was free, and everyone was invited to participate.
