In response to the Safe Passage report on Minnesota child fatalities we were recently interviewed for the American Enterprise Institute’s “Are You Kidding Me?” podcast, featured in this Child Welfare Monitor, and invited to present our findings to a Washington policy group and a national child welfare conference.
But here at home we can’t get a House or Senate sponsor for our legislation, and media coverage has been limited to this Star Tribune column and this KSTP report.
We need you to join us at the legislature on Wednesday March 22nd to educate elected officials about the need for legislation to protect children.
If March 22nd doesn’t work for you we will schedule meetings with your Representative and Senator at your convenience. Just send an email to stephanie@safepassageforchildren.org and she will help you set up appointments with your elected officials that fit your schedule.
Let’s take advantage of this national spotlight to build momentum for new child safety legislation.
