Safe Passage for Children of Minnesota has a featured display at the State Capitol for the next two weeks. Keeping our children safe is one of the most important responsibilities we share, and this display is a reminder of that commitment.
The display features the stories of children in Minnesota whose lives were lost due to abuse or neglect.
The display also highlights our legislative priorities. This year we are focused on:
- Educating the public about recognizing the signs of abuse
- Protecting Minnesota’s volunteer guardian ad litem program
- Ordering a fiscal analysis of child welfare spending in Minnesota

As we wait to see if our legislation moves forward, we are grateful to the volunteers, advocates, partners, and supporters who continue to stand with us.
A special thank you to volunteer, Allie Chirhart, for her work on the display. You can find the display in the East Hall on the ground floor of the Capitol. It will be up through Monday, May 18th.
Together, we can honor the children we’ve lost by working to prevent future harm and strengthen the systems designed to protect every child.
